Traveling photographers can rejoice, because on this day the perfect Mac laptop, for remote location photography and long journeys, has finally arrived. I am of course talking about the new 13-inch MacBook Pro.

The computer previously known as the 13-inch (aluminum unibody) MacBook, has been upgraded to full MacBook Pro status and now includes the all important Firewire (800) port and for the first time an SD memory card slot (not very exciting for high end pros I know, but let’s admit it we all carry at least on SD compatible cameras these days and even the high end cameras are starting to come off the assembly line with SD card slots). Most importantly it is an extremely rugged computer in a smaller package and at a lighter weight, than the rest of the MacBook Pro line of laptops.

The Think Tank - Urban Disguise 50, will hold more gear than you ever imagined, and a 15” laptop. It is very similar to the Urban Disguise 40 except that it features the added rear compartment. In 1996 Tokina created a new class of telephoto lens when it introduced the original AT-X 840 AF. This was the smallest zoom lens available that had a bright f/5.6 aperture at 400mm. Now Tokina has recreated the lens for the digital age.

Some of you may have already read that Apple is so worried about the new consumer craze for netbooks, that they are going to lower the prices on their MacBook line of portables within a few weeks or maybe even days (I mean it is Spring isn’t it?).

Apple shareholders are of course concerned because if the insanely high profit margin of Apple products is lowered they might not receive the dividends they are counting on to pay for their next Beemer (or maybe they are all saving up for a Tesla Model S right now).
