The Nikon D300 will apparently get a new lease on life this Thursday, the 30th of July, 2009. The rumor sites have been reporting for some time that both a Nikon D300s and a Nikon D3000 will be announced at major Nikon Events in Europe (and one supposes at other locations around the world.
Rumors (and some pretty solid indicators in markets around the world) say that Nikon lenses (and cameras) will be going up in price in all locations, world wide, by the end of the month.

On this particular day my flight was delayed and I was stuck in the departure lounge for over six hours. When this happens it helps to be at an airport that is as interesting architecturally (and has as many shops and restaurants) as Suvarnabhumi International Airport, in Bangkok, Thailand.
