Nikon goes retro for it's new top of the line COOLPIX S10 camera.

Nikon CoolPix S10A lot of you will remember the COOLPIX 900 and 950 model digital cameras. Not only where they first really good quality digital cameras that many of us owned, they also had a very unique swivel designed body that allowed you to use the camera at waist level, ground level or above your head for taking pictures that required a different angle.

These cameras were very popular and although they were imitaded by other camera manufacturers they were never outclassed. Up untill now that is the newest COOLPIX camera from Nikon has a 10x zoom lens that goes from 38 to 380mm (35mm equivalent), a swivel type body for shooting at any angle, and VR (vibration reduction) for better low light and long zoom pictures.

At
4.4 x 2.9 x 1.6 in. in size and 7.8 ounces in weight it would probably be considered a large pocket camera these days but not really when you consider that it has a 10x optical zoom lens and that incredible swivel body that allows you to poin the lens and 2.5-inch LCD screen in different directions.
