This is the Seattle Space Needle shot today from Kerry Park in the Queen Anne area of Seattle. There are always some photographers up here looking for that perfect shot of downtown Seattle city and the Space Needle (which is in Seattle Center).

Nikon D300 to get a new lease on life?

The Nikon D300 will apparently get a new lease on life this Thursday, the 30th of July, 2009. The rumor sites have been reporting for some time that both a Nikon D300s and a Nikon D3000 will be announced at major Nikon Events in Europe (and one supposes at other locations around the world.

Loy Kratong Festival in Thailand

This image was taken in Sattahip, Thailand on November 12, 2008. Nikon D300, 55-200mm Nikon VR lens, at 2500 ISO. Loy Krathong is held on the full moon of the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar. In the western calendar this usually falls in November.

Stuck in the departure lounge

On this particular day my flight was delayed and I was stuck in the departure lounge for over six hours. When this happens it helps to be at an airport that is as interesting architecturally (and has as many shops and restaurants) as Suvarnabhumi International Airport, in Bangkok, Thailand.
